I grew up in church. I learned the basics about God, Jesus, the Devil, Heaven and Hell. I learned all the stories in the Bible's New and Old Testaments. I was like everyone else growing up in a traditional church in America. What I didn't learn, was what it meant to be saved. I now know the joy and peace that comes from having a personal intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. I feel Jesus tasted death for all mankind and that everyone's life would be better with Jesus in it.
I have a passion to share the Saving Power of Jesus Christ with all I come in contact with.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we believe that our first priority is to be like Christ, loving and caring for those around us, right where they’re at. It is not our job to judge or change the people we come in contact with. That is a job for Jesus Christ, through the work of the Holy Spirit. Our job is to be an ambassador of Christ in Life's challenging situations and allow time for the Holy Spirit to intervene.
We believe; The only true path to eternal life in Heaven (being with God forever), is by having a personal intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. By repenting of our sins and placing our faith in Jesus Christ’s sinless life and atoning death on the cross for our behalf.
We believe; that through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, sins can be forgiven and humanity reconciled with God. This is the Gospel or "good news".
We believe; the need for fellowship, worship, discipleship and service through the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe; the Bible is the inspired word of God and the only true truth.
We believe; that there is only One True Living God... Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit.
We have a passion to share the peace and harmony of having a personal relationship with Jesus, with those whom have been deceived into believing that life is fine without Jesus in their life. We are also aware that some feel practicing religion is all that is needed to obtain eternal life in Heaven and have never really felt the true power of the Holy Spirits guidance on their lives. This is another opportunity for the Holy Spirit to intervene.
The only true path to eternal life in Heaven, is by having a personal intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
We believe today’s church has two main purposes. 1) To spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to everyone and 2) to minister to all God’s people compassionately with the love of Jesus Christ.
In 2001, I received a calling from God to trust in Him totally, left the comfort of a lucrative career in electrical engineering of over twenty years, dropped my nets and followed Him. With my love for Christ and my passion for God’s Word, I did this without hesitation. My wife and I continue to make God’s word a part of our daily lives. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; Do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5, 6
Since that time, we have experienced many opportunities to share the word of God. I began my ministry as a youth pastor, at the Loogootee United Methodist Church (membership of over 800) in Loogootee, Indiana. It was at this time that I enrolled in the Chapman Religious Studies Program at Oakland City University. While working on my degree and serving as the senior pastor of Old Friendship Church in Lynnville, Indiana I received my Ordination. After graduating from OCU, we served in Paragould, Arkansas and then Modesto, California. In 2013, God led us to back to the mid-west to serve as senior pastor at the Resurrection Church, a church plant in Heber Springs, Arkansas, and then as outreach pastor at the Connection Church. I am currently working with the men of The Other Side, a men's addiction facility in Wilburn. As members of the New Life Church (NLC) of Greenbrier, AR we are able to use our passions for outreach to implement new ways to reach the lost in our community,
God continues to lay on our hearts the vast need in our world, to reach people with the saving grace of God, offered to us through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
